Calf Feeding Systems
NDServices also have solutions for Calf Feeding with Automated Calf Feeders and Concentrated Calf Feeders. The greatest advantage of automated calf feeders is reduction in labour and calves have access to a constant warm supply of milk in smaller amounts, as they would from the cow.
Here's how they work.
- The calf is indentified electronically
- The milk diet is freshly prepared & pumped to the teat in a matter of seconds.
- The tubing to the teat is rinsed after every visit, plus an automatic wash cycle runs twice a day.
- An anti-pirate valve prevents others from stealing a calf's milk ration, so every single calf gets the quantity of mik it needs.
- An added second mixer bowl allows simultaneous feeding of two calves.
